Harnessing the potential of beer production waste
Our customer, a start-up at the forefront of food waste treatment processes, has developed a pilot plant to transform beer production by-products (mainly barley) into flakes, which can then be sold to ingredient manufacturers to produce highly nutritious ingredients for the food industry. This pilot plant, designed to be installed directly at breweries, is an innovative concept for valorizing beer production residues and other wet by-products from the food industry that is attracting interest from the sector. It opens up a new type of market, one that is buoyant and forward-looking, and which will represent a major earnings potential for beer producers and a high-value, high-quality nutritional contribution to the food industry.
